Action Scene
The slam of the laundry room door vibrated the walls on a 2015 New Year morning. Out of breath I walked towards the basement in shock about what Anthony just said to me. There I stood in the middle of the basement floor and my heart pounding hard enough it felt like a sharp knife cutting though my lungs down to my chest. The lighting of the basement is dimmed almost like a night club. Then a pleasant breeze blew warm air from the air duct above our heads around the room.
“Oh my God Anthony doesn’t love me anymore,” I thought to myself as cold wet tears runs off the make-up on my face. Meanwhile Anthony stood there walking towards me and staring in my eyes like this the last time he’ll see me face to face and suddenly he whispered in my ear
“We will never be an idol again, you’re hurting me.” I slap Anthony across his face causing a reaction of him pinning me down to the sofa. Meanwhile Gina races down the steps of the basement in panic demanding for an answer of what is going on between Anthony and me. ‘Oh my God break this up you guys.’ It shouldn’t have to come to this point therefore, please stop this.’ asked Gina.
Telling Section
On a New Year eve morning my best friend Gina gives me a call asking if she can hang out with my family and me to bring in the New Year. My responds back is sure, we can hang out that way I will bring in the New Year with my husband and best friend. Gina is one of my best friends I’ve known since junior high school. Gina is a 30 year old 5’7 honey brown African American who’s plumped around the hips, flat stomach and small breasted female. Her eyes are brown and slanted like her ethnicity background is Chinese. After talking to Gina, I then called my husband Anthony to inform him that we are having a guest. On the other hand my husband Anthony is a dark skin 6’1 man with salt & pepper hair throughout his head and beard. Anthony has a body of a Spartacus with a joker smile in his early 50’s and weighs about 200 pounds. Anthony answers the phone in a cheerful voice. He seems excited after hearing the news and agreed to have her at the house. Being married to Anthony for seven years and knowing him for ten makes him friends with Gina as well. They were next door neighbors since she was born. Because Anthony is older he is more familiar with Gina’s family. Gina is the one who set us up on a date back in year 2005.
Action Scene
Back at the house Gina pulls Anthony off of me so that we can talk. However my emotions was getting the best of me and I yelled “He’s breaking up with me over hear say.” Then Anthony yelled “You are cheating on me because you’re not home all the time like you use to be.” Next I yelled back “I am home and if you want counseling we can get that because all of this yelling is not getting us anywhere.” So Anthony punched the wall and screamed “Fuck you bitch go be with his dirty ass.” Meanwhile I begin to smoke a cigarette and started to cry. Walking out of the house in angry I went to the local bar thinking about how things developed. I left the house without a coat, money or phone which puts me into stress wondering what would I do from now on out. Approaching the bar, I see my friend Don standing outside on the phone. Don said “Hey Porscha! Why are you out here with no jacket? I respond back “Can you do me a favor and call Linda so that she can come get me?” Don replies “Sure I can. Are you okay? What happened?” In silent I stood there shaking up and tears pouring out my eyes avoiding the question. In concern, everyone in the bar asks me the same questions, they then realized I wasn’t ready to talk about the issue unless I’m ready. Suddenly, Gina walks into the bar in concern searching for me with Anthony waiting in the car. Once I seen her she walks over to me and said “You need to come with me Porscha. There no need for you to be here early in the morning. Come home!” I then respond back “Why Anthony doesn’t want me there anymore. He just wants to throw everything we build away.” Gina said “No he don’t, I just think you guys just need some time to cool off. You can stay at my place until some kind of light is shined on this matter.”
Telling Scene
Anthony and I been together for now a decade and throughout that decade we gotten married and had a boy. Anthony and I being together expanded our family. Anthony has two children from his first marriage and I had one child from a previous relationship. Together we have four children, a house, pets, cars and etc. You know the usual stuff that comes with goals in a marriage or relationship. We been through so much as a couple that is surprise me that we’re ending our relationship badly. Although I did some things outside of our relationship that wasn’t bright like been friends with people I know Anthony wouldn’t approve of I never wanted to hurt him nor make him think I’m cheating on him. I know it sounds mischief but hey I’m only 29 years of age and my husband is 51 years old. I guess this is just a lesson that I learned. Marriage is like a rollercoaster, just wear your seatbelt. Therefore that was one of the worst break-ups in my life and my relationship drastically changed.

Gina was the one who set up my husband and me on our first date in ‘2005.’ Anthony knows Gina can bring out my wild side if he wants me to have some fun with my girlfriend. On the other hand my husband Anthony is a dark skin 6’1 man with salt and pepper hair throughout his head and beard. Anthony has a body of a Spartan in his early 50’s and weighs 200 pounds. Gina pulls Anthony off of me so that we can talk. However my emotions was getting the best of me and I scream out

“You are cheating on me because you’re not home all the time like you use to be!” yells Anthony.

“Fuck you bitch, go and be with his dirty ass!”
Staring at the broken sheetrock of the wall I begin to smoke a cigarette and more tears starts to fall. Suddenly, I walk out of the house in rage making my way to the local bar contemplating about how things developed. The cold winter draft chills my body when I realize I left the house without a coat, money or a phone. Imminently I begin to stress out more wondering what I should do next.
“I can’t walk back there his tripping.” I said to myself
“Where are you going!?” a voice yells behind me.
Looking back I see Gina running up to me. “Where are you going? You got me running in heels like I’m crazy.” Says Gina
“Just go back and be there with the children. I can’t be there right now.” I said to Gina.
Gina agrees and run back to the house to check on the children. Approaching the bar, I see my friend Don standing outside on the phone.
“Hey! Porscha, Why are you out here with no jacket? Don asks.
Ignoring the question I ask “Can you do me a favor and call Linda so that she can come get me?”
Don replies “Sure I can. Are you okay? What happened?”
In silent I stood there shivering and even more tears pours out my eyes. In concern, everyone in the bar asks me the same questions then they realize I wasn’t ready to talk about the issue.
“Give her a double shot of Hennessey on me. That’s what you usually drink. It’s a New Year baby. Be happy you are alive!”
Yells this lady across the bar I always see but never asked her what her name is. I signal the intoxicated women across the bar thank you and took the shots back. After ten minutes Gina walks into the bar in concern searching for me while Anthony waits in the car. Gina then walks to the back over to me and says
“You need to come with me Lady. There no need for you to be here early in the morning. Come home!”

“Thank you Gina but he’s waiting in the car and I don’t think it’s a good idea if I leave with you now.”
“Okay, I will give you so more time. Just for the record “I think this is crazy, you are not wearing a coat with you.” Gina Replied.
Gina leaves the bar and Don comes over with his phone still near his ear.
“Porscha do you want another drink?” asks Don.
“Yes. Let me have some more Hennessy on the rock with a glass of ginger ale.”
As I sat there sipping my drink memories and questions hunts my mind. How could I let things develop like this? Why can’t we come to an understanding? My throat starts to feel like it’s closing in from the pain I am experiencing.
Once it was time for the bar to close the bartender Rochelle suggested for me to stay on her couch overnight and I agreed and to spend the night until later in the day. Then I returned back home and Anthony was there waiting and we eventually talked things out.
